The owner wanted a dynamic statement in the glass enclosed lobby. The curved steps have 10 treads per section and three sections. The treads are local reclaimed wood and the risers are ¾” thick acrylic with the LED tape VarioLED™ Flex RGB HD20 behind. The stringers have the tape in two locations, top and bottom. This was due to a shallow depth and the desire for even lighting. Each group of 10 steps can be controlled separately as can the stringers. This gives the owner many choices to create signature color combinations that are visible inside and out.
