What does it take to make "Frittenglück": Two young men, a friendship that has lasted for years and the idea to make something of their own. These two founders of the real French fries manufactory run 2 restaurants with the tasty name "Frittenglück" in Siegen and Koblenz.
To modernize the lighting in both restaurants, Rubertus Lichtdesign was entrusted with the task. In particular, the counter and cashier area was to catch the eye of customers more deliberately and have a visible light emission surface.
The lighting designers opted for the LYRA luminaire with opal optics. The narrow surface-mounted luminaire - in linear form in the analogy of a French fry - was staggered in 3 different lengths on the ceiling. The counter area is thus the brightest area in the restaurant and becomes an eye-catcher for customers. For the color temperature, 2700 Kelvin was chosen.
The brickwork at the front of the restaurant was also illuminated vertically with the LYRA. Here, the linear lens with 10° grazing effect was used, which brings out the materiality and structure of the wall.
